Sustainable Celebrant Services
Grounded in my love of nature and the quiet wisdom of the woodland, I have a strong desire to bring a gentle but determined commitment to sustainability into the ceremonies I create.
I love it when celebrations honour the earth as well as honouring the humans…
I encourage choices that feel authentic, simple and environmentally kind. Whether guiding couples toward low-impact details, supporting local makers, or reducing unnecessary waste, I approach sustainability with grace rather than pressure. Inviting and educating whilst explore what feels right for each couple or family.
The Tall Trees Eco Ethos
My eco ethos isn’t a statement, more a list of commitments and aspirations. A way of working: thoughtful, considered and deeply respectful of the world around us. In my care, meaningful moments unfold in harmony with nature, proving that beautiful, personalised ceremonies and sustainable values can sit side by side with ease.
I have an ethical bank account and source my Public Liability insurance from ethical insurers.
I actively seek out other ethical event suppliers and gently encourage and educate others to make changes to their businesses.
I buy most of my stationery from Eco Eco. I recycle my ink cartridges and batteries.
I walk or cycle to local appointments, and lift-share to networking meetings where possible.
Encourage my couples to use local suppliers to minimise their carbon footprint. Additionally, share information about seasonal flowers, farm-to-table caterers, and related topics.
I advertise in The Natural Wedding Directory, and follow the inspiring work of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance.
I source herbs from my garden, and waste flowers to dry the petals for use in ceremonies and rituals.
I source pre loved and second hand props for use in ceremony, rituals and wedding fair displays.
I bought my PA system second-hand.
I may have a small obsession with old poetry books - they smell so good!
I aim to work within an hours drive maximum.
I buy pre-loved outfits, ideally non-synthetic and sometimes I'm lucky enough to find a dress that feels like treasure at a clothes swap! In addition I only buy ethical cosmetics and am investigating ethical hair products currently.
I make an annual donation to a conservation charity who primarily plant trees.
Home and office are the same place, so I use eco-cleaning products, recycled toilet paper, organic feminine hygiene products, and a refillable deodorant.
I source my gas and electricity from an ethical supplier.
I grow some of my own veg and try to shop from local farm shops and farmers market.
My business cards are printed on sustainable paper and are chlorine free, from a business where they recycle all offcuts and toner cartridges are returned and re-used.
I attended The Sustainable Wedding Alliance Conference in 2025 and met wonderful like-minded people and propelled my journey regarding the impact of our digital footprint.
I have recently reviewed buying habits for day-to-day cleaning products and buy them on subscription from B-Corp businesses.
I use the Ecosia search engine which uses its advertising revenue to fund reforestation projects.
Future Sustainability Goals
I am learning about digital footprints and implementing tasks to reduce mine.
I aim to find the most eco-friendly printer and print cartridge alternative available. Meanwhile, I sourced a second-hand printer after my old one was considered beyond repair.
I want to write and share more about eco-weddings and that weddings do not need to cost the earth, literally!
Re-join a local veg box scheme.
